Regarding the Congress

Can I register for the congress without paying?A successful registration can only be made when the full registration fee is paid before the submission deadline. Your registration fee will be subject to the respective deadlines. Registration badges will be used during the WTC2024 Congress. Participants will receive their badges upon check in at the Registrations Desk. For identification purposes and admission to scientific sessions, participants are requested to wear their badges at all times. Admission to Congress areas will not be allowed without badge identification.

Does registration fee include insurance?Registration fees do not include participants’ insurance against personal accidents, sickness or cancellations by any party, theft, loss or damage to personal possessions. Participants are requested to make their own arrangements with respect to health and travel insurance. The China Civil Engineering Society and the Professional Congress Organizer accept no liability.

How's the weather in Shenzhen?Shenzhen is a beautiful and comfortable city with an average temperature of 24°C in April. It has one of the eight most spectacular coastlines in China, forest coverage rate of 40.68% and green coverage rate of 50%.

Is there a free WiFi at the conference site?WIFI will be available during the congress from 19th to 25th in April, 2024. Chinese Mainland mobile phone users can directly connect to the venue WIFI via SMS verification. For overseas mobile phone users, please refer to the on-site WIFI usage guideline.

Can accompanying persons attend technical sessions?No. Only participants who attend the whole conference can bring accompanying persons. Accompanying persons refer to the family members of the participants, and they can enjoy the following benefits: WTC2024 Welcome Reception, Opening Ceremony, Hakka Culture and Lingnan Tour.

Can I choose not to attend the conference and just visit the technical route?No, the technical visits can only be booked by participants who attend the whole congress.
Regarding exhibition
Q 1
Can standard booths be self-built?The standard booth is a specified construction provided by the venue. Exhibitors do not need to build the booths themselves. If there are special construction requirements, please contact the organizing committee for consultation.

Can exhibitors choose their own builders?
The exhibition builders appointed by the convention and exhibition bureau must meet the qualification
requirements. Unauthorized builders cannot undertake construction services.

How about the meals during congress?Coffee and Lunch during official breaks are included in the delegate registration fee and will be served in designated catering stations in all Congress areas.

Are there any medical centers in the venue?The first aid center is located in the central corridor on the first floor of the venue. If you need help during the event, please contact the staff.

Are there any interpretation services provided in the venue?English is the official language of WTC2024. No simultaneous interpretation is provided. For interpretation service or any other requirements, please email us on service@wtc2024.cn. We will try our best to organize the relevant service.

How about lost property service?During the Congress, Lost Property Office is located next to the Registration Desk in North Lobby. The working hours are from 9:00 to 17:00.
